New colors
New colors
For the project of the Münchner Furs shirt, I was looking for an major improvement of my colors. I wanted UV active colors that works on dark and black fabrics under normal light without being almost invisible. So I start mixing those colors to improve it. Sure it doesnt pop like pure neon colors – but since black absorb all UV light, it sure do pop on those fabrics enough to not see a major difference.

Meanwhile I also started to improve my after-glow-neon / glow-in-the-dark colors as well. The old ones always had the problem of causing a drift into the green glow-color. Especially on black and dark fabrics. after a lot of experimentals and “shut up and take my money” situations, I came up with new mixtures. Improved it that they finally glow pure without having a drift – exept I wanted it. The tricky part in here was to get all glow-colors evenly so that they can be used next to eachother without causing a huge difference like the old mixes. Yes they glow a bit shorter and darker and the saturation aside UV light are lower than before – but in average they cain saturation in the dark which was the focus of this.
Afterall, its quite the extra-mile to have not just one color, but the full rainbow that works under normal, UV and no-light the same. Finally I can draw things I couldnt before. Like the 9-tail with the nightern sky in the background. Suprisingly it works better than I have expected.
